In 2014, Abadir Academy Catania invited designer Denis Santachiara to curate a digital manufacturing workshop.
During its four days, participants were invited to use digital technologies and processes, to propose innovative solutions for the new design industry.
I proposed nodO, a set of 3d printable joints that create connections between wooden beams.
The idea was to make an open-source module, completely customisable where users could modify colours, type of polymer, dimensions, and aspects of the shape, allowing infinite creative possibilities.
