In 2016 the music academy Villa Pennisi in Musica promoted a contest inviting participants to design a music stand to be cut with CNC machines out of flat materials.
My project submission was Coda; a model built using 14 interlocking wooden pieces plus a nut, a bolt and a washer.
The music stand Coda can be assembled or disassembled without tools; it has an adjustable tilting head and a customisable back leg. The inspiration for the name Coda (tail in Italian) comes from its shape, resembling an aircraft tail.
